Can a quick freeze take the sting out of needles?

NCT ID NCT06651788

Summary

This study is testing whether a common 'freeze spray' used to numb the skin actually helps reduce pain and anxiety for patients getting steroid injections for joint and tendon problems like arthritis or carpal tunnel. Researchers will enroll 300 adults getting their first injection and compare pain scores between those who get the spray and those who get a placebo. The goal is to provide clear evidence on whether this popular technique improves the patient experience.
