First seen Apr 14, 2026 · Last updated May 06, 2026 · Updated 6 times

Summary

This study is testing the safety of the FreeStyle Libre 2, a flash glucose monitoring system, in 550 children and young adults aged 4 to 30 with type 1 or type 2 diabetes. The goal is to see if using this device lowers the rate of severe low blood sugar events that need medical help, compared to standard fingerstick testing. Participants wear a small sensor on their arm to check glucose levels without routine finger pricks.
