First seen Jan 26, 2026 · Last updated May 04, 2026 · Updated 11 times

Summary

This study tests a new device called FRED X, which is a stent placed inside a brain artery to treat a brain aneurysm (a bulging blood vessel). The goal is to see if it works as well as an earlier version, the FRED device, in sealing the aneurysm and preventing strokes or death. About 154 people with a single aneurysm in a specific part of the brain artery will be followed for 12 months after the procedure.
