New study aims to ease pain and improve mobility for frail seniors with broken ankles

Summary

This study looks at which type of surgery works best for frail older adults (age 60+) with severe ankle fractures. Participants will be randomly assigned to one of two surgical methods. The goal is to see which approach leads to better quality of life, less pain, and improved ability to walk one year after surgery.
