Can a simple frailty check better predict survival after a broken hip?
NCT ID NCT07481188
Summary
This study aims to see if measuring a patient's overall physical weakness (frailty) can improve doctors' ability to predict who is most at risk of dying after hip fracture surgery. Researchers will follow about 200 older adults for 90 days after their surgery. They will compare the standard risk score with a new assessment that includes frailty to see which method is more accurate.
