First seen Mar 18, 2026 · Last updated Jun 13, 2026 · Updated 21 times

Summary

This study is observing 150 older adults (65+) with pneumonia in the emergency department to see if a simple frailty scale can better predict who might die or have complications. Researchers want to know if adding frailty to standard pneumonia scores improves accuracy. The study does not test any treatment, only collects data to improve future care.
