Frailty check may sharpen death risk prediction after hip fracture
NCT ID NCT07481188
First seen Mar 21, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 11 times
Summary
This study looks at whether adding a frailty assessment to the usual risk score can better predict who might die within 90 days after hip fracture surgery. About 200 older adults (60+) having hip fracture surgery will have their frailty level measured when they arrive at the hospital. Researchers will then track survival for 90 days to see if frailty improves risk prediction.
