NCT ID NCT04667000
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 02, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study looked at whether using forced air warming blankets on different body parts during a cesarean section can prevent hypothermia (low body temperature) and shivering in mothers. 35 pregnant women were divided into groups: warming the lower body, upper body, whole body, or no warming. The goal was to see which method best keeps mothers warm and comfortable, and whether it affects the baby's Apgar score or breastfeeding. The results could help nurses choose the best way to warm patients during surgery.
