New hope for 'Stone man Syndrome': trial tests drug to halt extra bone growth
NCT ID NCT05090891
Summary
This study is testing whether an investigational drug called INCB000928 can slow or stop the formation of new, abnormal bone in people with fibrodysplasia ossificans progressiva (FOP), a rare and severe genetic disorder. About 98 participants, including children as young as 2, will receive either the drug or a placebo, and doctors will use whole-body scans to measure new bone growth. The main goal is to see if the drug is safe and effective at controlling this progressive disease.
