Smartphone app aims to spot diabetic foot danger before it starts

NCT ID NCT07300163

Summary

This study is testing a new device called FeetSee, which uses a thermal camera attached to a smartphone, to see if it can help predict diabetic foot ulcers. About 100 adults with diabetes and a history of healed foot ulcers will use the device daily at home for 6-9 months. The goal is to see if the camera can detect early 'hot spots' of inflammation on the feet, which might signal a sore is about to form, allowing for earlier prevention.
