First seen Mar 05, 2026 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 8 times
Summary
This study tests a surgical technique to cover deep wounds on the lower leg, ankle, heel, or foot. Doctors move a piece of skin and tissue from the outer calf to the wound, keeping it alive with a special blood supply. The study will include 30 adults and will measure how well the flap survives and any complications. This is not a cure but aims to control the injury and help the wound heal.
