First seen Nov 17, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 26 times

Summary

This study looked at whether the same staph bacteria found in the nose can also infect foot sores in people with diabetes. Researchers compared the genetic fingerprints of bacteria from both places in 278 patients. The goal was to understand the risk and improve detection, not to test a new treatment.
