Summary
This study aims to understand how eating affects metabolism, heart health, and feelings of hunger in men with high spinal cord injuries. Researchers will compare 56 inactive men—some with spinal injuries and some without—by measuring their body's energy use after meals and their appetite levels. The goal is to gather basic knowledge about how spinal injuries change the body's response to food, which could inform future care.
