Sound waves against addiction: new brain treatment tested

Summary

This early study tests whether a non-invasive technique called focused ultrasound can safely change brain activity to help people with opioid or other substance use disorders. Twenty adults aged 22-60 who are already in treatment will receive the ultrasound. The main goal is to check for side effects and see if the approach is feasible.
