NCT ID NCT05615623
First seen Apr 25, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This early-stage study tests whether focused ultrasound can safely open the blood-brain barrier in children with a rare, aggressive brain tumor called DIPG. The goal is to let the chemotherapy drug doxorubicin reach the tumor more effectively. Ten children aged 5 to 18 who have completed radiation therapy will be enrolled to check safety and how well the barrier opens.
