First seen Feb 03, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 17 times
Summary
This early-stage trial tested whether transplanting healthy donor stool into the gut of people with relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis (MS) is safe and tolerable. Only 5 participants received the transplant via colonoscopy, and researchers tracked side effects and immune changes for 12 weeks. The study was terminated early, so results are limited.
