Could a common antidepressant ease the debilitating fatigue of long COVID?
NCT ID NCT07359482
Summary
This study aims to see if fluvoxamine, a medication often used for depression and anxiety, can help reduce severe fatigue, brain fog, and other common symptoms in people with Long COVID. Researchers will give 160 participants either fluvoxamine or a placebo pill for 12 weeks to compare their symptom changes. The goal is to find a much-needed treatment option for this condition, which currently has no established medical cure.
