First seen Jan 10, 2026 · Last updated May 02, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study tests whether adding a steroid eye drop (fluorometholone) to standard antibiotic treatment can improve vision and speed up healing in people with bacterial corneal ulcers. About 174 adults with mild to severe ulcers will receive either the steroid plus antibiotics or antibiotics alone. The main goal is to see if vision is better after 3 months with the added steroid.
