Summary
This study tested whether a special dye called indocyanine green (ICG) can help surgeons see and protect parathyroid glands during thyroid or parathyroid surgery. The dye makes the glands glow under a special camera, which may help avoid accidental damage. The study was stopped early, so results are limited.
