Could less fluid save more lives in deadly shock?

NCT ID NCT06140147

Summary

This large study is testing whether carefully limiting the amount of non-emergency fluids given to adults with septic shock improves survival and reduces complications. It will compare a strict fluid-reduction plan against standard care in 1,850 critically ill patients. The goal is to find a better way to manage this life-threatening condition in the intensive care unit.
