Simple IV fluid push could stop dangerous blood pressure drops in common surgery

NCT ID NCT06985654

Summary

This study is testing whether giving a bag of IV fluids right before a common bladder scope procedure can prevent a dangerous drop in blood pressure when anesthesia begins. Researchers will compare 100 adults having elective cystoscopies, with half receiving the extra fluids. The goal is to find a simple, safe way to make this routine procedure safer by avoiding low blood pressure complications.
