Summary

This study tested a new seasonal flu vaccine grown in cells (Vero cells) to see if it prevents the flu. Over 7,000 adults received either the vaccine or a placebo shot. Researchers tracked who got the flu over 6 months and checked for side effects. The goal was to see if the vaccine protects against flu strains matching those in the shot.
