Flu shot safety tested for millions on Immune-Weakening drugs

NCT ID NCT01022749

Summary

This study checked if the annual flu vaccine works well and is safe for adults with Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis, especially those taking medications that weaken the immune system. Researchers compared the body's immune response to the vaccine in 228 patients who were either taking these medications or not. The goal was to gather clear evidence to encourage more people with this common condition to get their recommended flu shot.
