Summary
This study aimed to better understand how influenza affects hospital emergency departments. Researchers tested over 2,400 adult patients visiting the emergency room during flu season to see how many actually had the flu. The goal was to gather data to help hospitals prepare resources and staffing for future flu outbreaks.
