Tiny mesh tubes tested to seal off dangerous brain bulges

NCT ID NCT07376590

Summary

This study is testing a medical device called a flow-diverting stent to treat brain aneurysms, which are weak, bulging spots in a brain artery. Researchers will implant these tiny mesh tubes in 164 patients to redirect blood flow away from the aneurysm, aiming to seal it off. The main goal is to see how many aneurysms are completely blocked one year after the procedure and to check the safety of the device.
