Magnet breakthrough could make colon surgery safer

Summary

This study tests a new device that uses magnets to reconnect parts of the colon after surgery for colorectal cancer or diverticular disease. About 20 adults will receive the device during their operation. The goal is to see if the magnet connection works well and reduces the need for additional surgeries within 30 days.
