First seen Apr 05, 2026 · Last updated Apr 24, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study compares a new ultra-fast radiation method called FLASH to standard radiation for people with common skin cancers (basal cell or squamous cell carcinoma). About 60 patients aged 60 and older who cannot have surgery will receive either FLASH or standard treatment. The goal is to see if FLASH causes fewer severe skin side effects while still controlling the cancer.
