NCT ID NCT05724875

First seen Apr 05, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 8 times

Summary

This study tests a new type of radiation called FLASH, which delivers treatment in a fraction of a second, against standard radiotherapy for people with localized skin cancers (basal cell or squamous cell carcinoma). The goal is to see if FLASH can control the tumor just as well while causing fewer severe skin side effects. About 60 adults aged 60 and older who need radiation but cannot or choose not to have surgery will participate.
