First seen Mar 26, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 6 times
Summary
This study looks at two different types of fixed retainers (wires glued behind the front teeth) to see which one lasts longer and works better after braces. About 133 people aged 15-50 who finished orthodontic treatment will be randomly assigned to get one of the two retainers. Researchers will check the retainers every few months for two years to see if they break or come loose, and also ask about comfort and oral hygiene.
