3-Minute fitness test could predict surgery complications

NCT ID NCT07159711

Summary

This study is testing a small, quick device called Seismofit to measure fitness in people with esophageal cancer who are scheduled for surgery and chemotherapy. The goal is to see if this 3-minute test, done while lying down, can predict who might have complications like pneumonia or a longer hospital stay. Researchers will compare it to the current, longer fitness test to see if it's just as accurate for cancer patients.
