Could your gym membership replace physical therapy for arthritis pain?

NCT ID NCT07210931

Summary

This study aims to see if self-managed exercise at a local fitness center works as well as supervised physical therapy for reducing knee osteoarthritis pain and improving function. Researchers will compare these two approaches in 300 adults with knee arthritis to determine which is more cost-effective and accessible. The goal is to provide a potentially cheaper, more flexible option for first-line arthritis management.
