Summary
This study looks at whether a Fitbit can help doctors catch infections early in children who had surgery for a burst appendix. About 500 kids aged 3-18 will wear a Fitbit after surgery, and researchers will track their activity, heart rate, and sleep. The goal is to see if changes in this data can predict an infection before symptoms get serious, which might reduce emergency room visits and rehospitalizations.
