Your Child's fitbit could sound the alarm before an infection gets bad
NCT ID NCT06395636
Summary
This study is testing if data from a Fitbit watch can help doctors detect infections earlier in children recovering from surgery for a burst appendix. Researchers will use the Fitbit's heart rate, activity, and sleep data to create an alert system for surgeons. They want to see if getting these alerts helps doctors make better decisions and reduces unnecessary trips to the emergency room after kids go home.
