NCT ID NCT07399353
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study compares two surgical methods for treating a complex type of anal fistula (an abnormal tunnel from the anus to the skin). The goal is to see which surgery has a lower chance of the fistula coming back and which has a lower risk of causing bowel control problems. About 40 adults with this condition will be randomly assigned to one of the two surgeries and followed for 3 months after the procedure.
