Can fish oil tame a rare autoimmune disease?
NCT ID NCT07111065
Summary
This study is testing whether taking omega-3 fatty acid supplements from fish oil, along with following a healthy diet, can help reduce disease activity in people with dermatomyositis. It will involve 300 adults and children with mild to moderate symptoms. Participants will take either the fish oil capsules or a placebo (inactive pill) for six months, without knowing which one they receive, to see if the fish oil makes a difference.
