Summary
This study looks at whether giving a special fish oil nutrition formula before colon surgery for severe constipation helps patients recover better. It will compare starting this nutrition before surgery versus starting it only after surgery in about 300 adults. The main goal is to see if the timing affects the rate of complications after the operation.
