NCT ID NCT04476953
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026 · Updated 41 times
Summary
This study tests whether fisetin, a natural compound found in fruits and vegetables, can help hospitalized COVID-19 patients by reducing dangerous inflammation. Researchers will give fisetin or a placebo to 80 adults aged 60+ (or younger with certain health conditions) to see if it prevents disease progression and improves oxygen levels. The goal is to control the body's overactive immune response, not to cure the infection.
