Robot arm steps into surgery: first human trial for appendix removal

NCT ID NCT07455487

Summary

This study is the first time a new Canadian surgical robot arm, called the Revolve Surgical System, will be used on people. It will be tested during routine appendix removal surgery on three carefully selected adult patients. The main goal is to see if the device is safe and works as intended, not to change the patient's treatment outcome.
