First human test for potential IBD pill begins
NCT ID NCT06835296
Summary
This was the first-ever study in humans of an experimental oral drug called YUQ-A1007. It was tested in 47 healthy volunteers to check its basic safety, how well it's tolerated, and how the body processes it. The drug is designed to act in the gut and early lab research suggests it could one day be used to treat inflammatory bowel diseases like Crohn's or ulcerative colitis.
