Scientists test First-Ever 'Living' heart valve designed to grow with the patient

NCT ID NCT05809856

Summary

This is the first human study to test a new type of heart valve replacement called the GrOwnValve. It is designed for people with a leaky pulmonary valve, a serious condition that can lead to heart failure. The valve is unique because it is made from the patient's own tissue and is intended to be durable and potentially adapt over time. The study will enroll 7 adults to first check if the procedure is safe.
