First seen Feb 28, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 6 times

Summary

This study measured the lengths of the index and ring fingers in 132 women (79 with breast cancer and 53 healthy) to see if the 2D:4D ratio is linked to cancer. Researchers also checked tumor markers in the blood. The goal was to explore whether finger patterns could serve as a simple, non-invasive clue to hormonal exposure and breast cancer risk. No treatment or intervention was given.
