Prick of a finger could spot Alzheimer's signs

NCT ID NCT07187921

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study looked at whether a simple finger prick blood test can accurately measure Alzheimer's-related proteins (pTau-217) compared to standard blood draws. Researchers collected blood from 49 volunteers using both methods and checked how well the finger prick results matched. The goal is to make Alzheimer's testing easier and less invasive.
