Can finger foods fight malnutrition in nursing homes?

NCT ID NCT05389098

Summary

This study is testing whether serving food in easy-to-grip, bite-sized pieces that residents can eat with their fingers helps improve nutrition and mealtime enjoyment. It will involve 30 elderly residents in care facilities who are at risk of undernutrition. Researchers will check if this approach is practical for caregivers and if it helps residents maintain weight, eat more independently, and enjoy their meals.
