Bandage vs. scalpel: new trial tests simpler finger amputation care
NCT ID NCT07175675
Summary
This study is testing if treating a finger amputation with a special, semi-occlusive bandage works as well as or better than surgery. Researchers will randomly assign adult patients with a single finger amputation to receive either the bandage treatment or an operation. The main goal is to see which group reports less pain and better hand function one year after the injury.
