First seen Dec 11, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 15 times
Summary
This study tests whether the drug finerenone can improve heart structure and function in 156 adults with an enlarged left side of the heart and risk factors for heart and kidney disease. Participants will take either finerenone or a placebo daily for 12 months and undergo heart scans at the start and end of the study. The goal is to see if finerenone, added to standard care, can reduce heart stiffness and improve pumping ability.
