New heart drug tested to reverse damage in diabetic patients
NCT ID NCT07442448
Summary
This study is testing whether a medication called Finerenone can improve the structure of the heart in people who have both diabetic kidney disease and a specific type of heart failure. Researchers will give 40 participants the drug for six months and use advanced heart scans to see if it reduces harmful fat and scar tissue in the heart muscle. The goal is to see if this treatment can slow or reverse the heart damage caused by these conditions.
