New surgical technique aims to unmask hidden cancers
NCT ID NCT04151134
Summary
This study aims to improve the detection of the hidden original site of head and neck cancer that has already spread to lymph nodes. It tests a surgical procedure to remove tissue from the back of the tongue, followed by a detailed lab analysis method, to find these hidden cancers more often. The research also tracks patients' pain and swallowing recovery after surgery.
