First seen Apr 16, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 6 times
Summary
This study tests whether giving financial rewards to pregnant women who smoke—and also to their smoking partners—can help them quit. About 180 pregnant women and their partners will be split into three groups to see if adding a partner incentive boosts success. The goal is to reduce the serious health risks smoking poses to both mother and baby.
