First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 05, 2026 · Updated 27 times
Summary
This study looked at whether offering cash rewards or sharing screening results could encourage college students in Chennai, India, to seek therapy for depression and anxiety. About 340 women students were split into groups: some got mental health info only, some also learned their screening results, some got a cash payment for their first therapy session, and some got both screening and cash. The goal was to see which approach increased interest in and attendance at therapy.
