New fibromyalgia drug shows promise in major trial

Summary
This study is testing whether the medication AXS-14 can help control fibromyalgia symptoms. The trial will involve 620 adults diagnosed with fibromyalgia who will first receive the drug for 12 weeks. Those who respond well will then be randomly assigned to either continue the medication or switch to a placebo for another 12 weeks to see if the benefits are maintained.
